I lost my phone on my last trip. I have already suspended the service but the police need the IMEI number to match when they try to recover the phone from who stole it. I can't log into my gmail as the two step verification requires I enter a code that is texted to me. Is there anywhere on public mobile I can access that has my IMEI number listed when I set my phone up with the service?

@anique_marie, at the bottom that 2 factor code entry screen on Google, there is an ‘more options’ hyperlink. See the screen shot.

HAHA! Very sneaky solution... I live in Toronto and the phone is in Thunder Bay. I go back there a few times a year to visit family and friends. I have some good friends but I don't know if anybody would be willing to do that!

maybe stupid solution
try to buy the phone from kijiji and you will have your imei and the phone number for the person who will sell it ....(if you are sure its your phone)
bring it back to the reseller and you will have the imei..or once you have it in your hand and you are sure thats your phone go to the police with the phone and the seller person and they will find a solution.

You can send a private message to Moderator_Team and ask if they have access to it.
The moderator team definitely can look into records of past connections on the network to identify the IMEI. They may need to engage the back office, not sure of exactly the process. I have ask for this kind of stuff previously from Telus. It was fairly straightforward. @anique_marie, when you set up 2FA, did you not generate a set of use once codes for emergency use? Apart from blacklisting the old phone, equally important is to replace the SIM card on the account so that you can restore the service on a different phone.

Thank you @MacMe, I did send them a message but haven't had a response yet. I suppose I am trying to rush things as I saw it posted on Kijiji for sale (same cracks on the phone and was posted two days after I lost it, so I know it's mine) and I am just concerned that someone will buy it before the police can do anything. Police can't take the phone without confirming the IMEI number. I appreciate you trying to help so much!

Is there anywhere online I can just quickly grab my IMEI number? I don't have the box anymore as I bought the phone 3 years ago. I heard all service providers have it if you call but Public Mobile doesn't have a phone number. I am losing my mind 😞

You can also try posting on the Google forum and maybe an admin/mod can help:

Yes, but this process takes 3-5 business days.

Have you tried a recovery to get back into Gmail?

Gmail requires a two-step verification to get in. This involves entering a code that is texted to me. I cannot enter the code as I do not have my phone.

they should be able to, since its required to be entered into the system, i just switched and my IMEI number is on my receipts.
also the place where you switched could probably pop it up from their end too.
