Hello Beautiful People,
i wanted to know more about the “report lost/stolen device” feature. How it works? What are the benefits of the feature?

This feature is used when a customer has their phone lost or stolen. Once selected, the account will be suspended (ie. your phone service does not work, autopay or preauthorized payment stops).
One customer gets new phone and SIM card, change the SIM card number via your self service account and report the phone found.

Another special use of this feature is if a customer has available funds and wants to suspend their account. If you turn off autopay (unsubscribe subscription) or pre-authorized payment, PM won't charge your credit card at the next payment date, but will attempt to withdraw funds from your available balance (ie. extra funds). Reporting your phone lost/stolen will suspend your account and stop pre-authorized payments. If your phone is suspended (lost/stolen) more than 90 days, your account will be permanently closed and number lost.
Note: in the past, lost/stolen phone feature did mess up the timing of your legacy rewards. Since all customers have been switched to rewards points, that should not be as big of an issue. However, if you have friends rewards, you likely will not receive monthly points while your phone is reported lost/stolen.
