Am finding hotspot service unreliable. I use my PM plan as a hotspot in a hospital setting, however find that the hotspot disconnects 1-2 times daily, and to re-establish connection through to the host phone, I must turn the hotspot on and off. All connected devices are affected.
Anybody having the same issues ? Resolutions ?
Thanks.

I replaced the iPhone 8 Plus with an LG Q6 to perform the hotspot function and the problem disappeared. Good old android is working well and effectively without issue.
Thanks for the tip.

As @Handy1 mentioned, could be the location. The hospital has a ton of machines and equipment that can interfere with your phone. Depending on the location you are in while in the hospital, try going to settings and then take it off automatic and choose Public Mobile. Then reboot. Let us know if that helps.

Seems more like a device problem than a Public problem. Sounds like a time out is set. My Android has a hotspot timeout setting for when no device is connected. There's also a data limiter.

have you attempted to connect to the hospital wifi ? Most hospitals offer free wifi now...you might just hafta ask for their wifi password to get it on your phone.

@Mapagi Might be the location . If you’re outside the hospital will it work better . I know for me in a big Costco building my reception gets worse and things slow down
