Some Texts Not Coming Through

JeffieC

Just got a subscription to Public Mobile today switching from a Rogers contract.

So far calls are coming through, and some texts, but some aren't. I'm on an iPhone 11 and so far texts from apple products work - but I'm trying to get a code for a multi-authentication factor to access an online account and nothing is coming through. Also not sure if texts from non-apple phones come through.

I did have problems with the eSIM for my phone at first, but I managed to fix those by accessing my Settings-Cellular-SIM and turning off my previous line with Rogers and turning on Public Mobile. (I don't know if that might be relevant to my current situation).

Any help would be appreciated.

@JeffieC

Did you power off your phone before switching the Rogers SIM to the PM SIM?

If not, reboot your phone by powering off then back on.

Is MMS Messaging enabled in Message Settings?

Rogers SIM card does not have service anymore.

Does your Roger's SIM Card still have service when you try using it now or does it say 'No Service', or 'Unregistered SIM'?

Hi Priority,

Its been about 8 hours since I replied YES to Rogers and they confirmed transfer.

How long has it been since you submitted and replied with approval for the Port Request?

This is totally normal for your incoming Calls and Text messages to not be working for up to 90 mins after you reply 'YES' to the Port Request received to your Roger's SIM Card.

The Port will still be processing, 90 mins after you've replied yes it should be complete and all incoming should be working.
