Your old SIM will continue to work from 90 minutes to 2 hours to complete the porting. Once you see SOS on the top of your phone. Power off your phone and swap to the PM SIM and power back on.

hi @Beelezebub
you can put in the sim card now and test outbound calls first
if you ported the number, make sure you replied the porting authorization text before you put PM sim card), then reboot your phone ever 15 mins and test inbound calls

@Beelezebub After you replied yes to the confirmation text from old provider and the old providers sim stops working . Then it’s time to test the PM SIM card for out going and incomming calls text and data .
adding you get instructions saying it will tell you when to put it in the phone but those steps are backwards I wrote thread in this issue long time ago it only tells you to put SIM card in after you do and confirm full access for the first time so strange check it out
Activation steps backwards @Beelezebub

if you ported in the number, you can wait until your current mobile provider sim card no longer works, or see SOS, then put in PM sim card
