About to subscribe to public for the first time (using esim). How do i retain my old phone number?

check if your number can be ported here

make sure your current mobile account on the other carrier is active

use the PM app to subscribe.  You will get to Payment step. Make payment

at the step after payment, choose you have your phone number and enter the phone number as well as the account number of your old carrier

@Isobelduxfield  After you make payment you will have option to transfer number over old providers account number and ignore the IMEI . So you can reply YES to the confirmation text to port number to PM once that’s done and the old providers sim no longer works text the PM sim for incomming and out going calls text and data
