Be very careful with non-brand phones from Europe/Asia. They typically do not have the full frequency set for North America. Let alone Telus/Bell.

@gblackma no need to test it. If it only supports GSM as @GSB notes, then it's 100% not compatible with Public Mobile, Koodo, Telus, Virgin Mobile, Lucky Mobile, or Bell [EDIT: also Freedom Mobie, Videotron, and Fizz.] It will work with Rogers, Fido, and I believe Chatr (but don't quote me on that), but ONLY until Dec 31st of this year, when Rogers will be retiring the only GSM network running in Canada for good.

You need 3gb device 850 and 1900
If you don't require talk it can also be LTE with l2 l4 l7 and some more
