Data service for Lenovo X1 Carbon Laptop with Fibocom L850-GL LTE WWAN Module

My X1 Carbon laptop has a Fibocom L850-GL 4G LTE WWAN. It supports the LTE FDD bands B2 (1900MHz), B4 (1700MHz/2100MHz), B5 (850MHz), B12 (700MHz), and B17 (700MHz). However it does not support any voice service including VoLTE.

If I subscribe to one of Public Mobile's Canada and US plans, would I get data service in both countries on my laptop while I travel?

it has enough bands to support data so it will work

don't look like VoLTE.  The laptop does not have a dialer and it won't work for voice anyway
