I was gifted a samsung galaxy a7 lite tablet for my daughter. It was previously on the telus network.
I purchased a public mobile sim for it, and activated the sim to the account. The account is active.
It does not connect to the public mobile network. Sim card shows the selected phone number. I have reset network settings. It says "no service" at the top. If I manually select public mobile under the network settings it does not connect. Just needing the device for data, I am aware calling will not work.
I have read some other posts where members have had success using a tablet.
The sim card worked in another device is order to recieve the authentication code.

Confirm with a CS_Agent if SIMs work in tablets.

There's no reson for a tablet not to be able to connect to the network. The network just sees a tablet as another mobile device.

I have found if I switch network mode from hspa/lte to hspa only, it will then connect to the public mobile network - but data does not work.

Ah yes, I have also found posts where people have had success with their tablets on PM though. I will message the agent.

It is a canadian model. Two days ago it was working on a telus sim until the plan was up.
Her sim card works in my phone. My sim card does not work in her tablet.

Yes. The sim card works when I put it into my phone. It does not work in my daughters tablet - it just says no service. And in network settings it is not connected to a network. Manually connect to public mobile also fails.

Hello @Mike93zj
Just so I understand, you chose a plan, you registered it on a phone via the app. You have a registered phone number and everything on the phone works... calling in and out, texting in and out, data works....
