Last night I believe I was the victim of a sim swap fraud. The fraudster managed to transfer my eSIM onto their phone and used it to gain access to my bank.
i have never given out my password or any sensitive information.
I want information about how the fraudster was able to do this when they should have needed 2 step verification to transfer the eSIM and they did not have access to my email and only gained access to my phone number after transferring the sim.
why were they allowed to do this? I can’t even speak to anyone at Public but I need information about how they were able to do this to provide to my bank. I want a resolution asap and hope to speak to a support agent soon.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Scammers are very sophisticated these days. Maybe some malware, phishing scheme, etc.
