No, however you should be able to create an email alias (easy in Gmail) to be able to get both email addresses on one email account.

No. You have to have 2 unique email addresses.

You can use aliases, though. I believe abc.def@gmail.com and abcd.ef@gmail will work as emails will be considered different but emails will go to the same gmail mailbox.
