cannot get my sim to connect to network, yet my account says active. Ive used this phone through other carriers so i know its unlocked. there really should be a better way of getting a hold of someone, this is brutal

@stonechucker yeah @Luddite asked yesterday too. Still waiting on that info. $10 bet it's an overseas model that doesn't support the requried 850MHz + 1900MHz 3G frequencies!

Is your device locked to a non Telus carrier, or is it not compatible with the technology that is used on the shared Telus and Bell network?

Unregistered sim card (some Blackberries would say this on the home screen) or Not Registered on Network/Cannot Connect to Select Network or similar wording when selecting the network ususally means that you have selected a network that your sim card/service isn't allowed to connect to or that the the sim card was never activated (or was activated before and cancelled).
Is the network not registered message showing up after doing a manual network scan and you are selecting the appropriate Public Mobile network choice?

What is make/model of your phone? It may be incompatible with PM's network.
