SIM not working Since joining

I am new to Canada so don’t have a prior Canada number and got a SIM card and applied for a contract with public mobile.

It asked me to select a number and link to my account sim (which I picked up from a local store) but to get it working with full access I need to confirm a code sent to my number but It says SOS only so I can’t receive code. Please help.

@Kevins1  Try to reboot the phone or try the sim in another phone if possible to see if services work , otherwise this could be a provisioning  issue which support can help fix

@Kevins1   did you try to reboot your phone?  or try your PM sim in another phone?

What brand and model is your phone? was this phone ever used on another Canadian network?

It could simply be a sim card provisioning issue, an easy fix for support but you need to open ticket to engage them.  Please

             Click "Yes, I'm a customer", then click "Sign In", once signed in, ignore the choices and type "Contact agent"
              Then click "Contact Us", and click "My Account".  Finally click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗ " and you can open the ticket
2. Or if you have trouble with Chatbot, Private message CS agent at 
**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on top right) after the ticket is opened.  CS Agent will reply to you there
