I put the Public SIM card into my phone after activating it and going through the steps to transfer my number. My phone is not locked to a previous provider. When I restarted the phone, it asked for a PIN. The PIN I set up in my account did not work. Now it is giving me the message "SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK."

Hi @polsons11 what model is your phone and when you bought it?
If the PM sim was never used, it shouldn't be sim card PUK. It sounds more like Carrier lock PUK

SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK isn't a SIM card code. It's a device code for network unlocking, specifcally being a code to reset the ability to network unlock a device. The danger with experimenting with codes (a code which wouldn't work in this case) would be that the customer could also accidently lock out the SIM card.

edit: Any PIN you set while activating is related to your account that would be needed to use the CC via 611 service or verify account with CSA's and would not be a SIM PIN.
Public Mobile can't help with this. The phone is locked to another carier. Public Mobile could only provide the SIM network unlock PUK (and SIM network unlock PIN) if the phone were locked to Public/Telus/Koodo. However, the phone wouldn't even have asked for these types of codes if it were locked to Public/Telus/Koodo.

Sorry, but you phone is locked to a carrier. "SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK" would only be shown if it is.

Ok then, you'll have to get the code from CS_Agent
Send them a private message and ask them for that code.

Where was the phone used last?
You have to keep your old carrier sim card in your phone until you reply to the text asking if you want to port your phone number.

I don't believe I've set a SIM lock pin on my phone. I assumed it would be the PIN I just set up when I activated my SIM card, but that didn't work and after 3 tries it locked and asked for a network PUK instead.

It shouldn't be locked to a previous carrier. I've never purchased a phone locked to a carrier.

Sounds like you're phone is locked to the previous carrier.
You'll have to get the unlock code from last carrier phone was used on.
If it's a Samsung phone you can contact them directly for that code.
