SIM code tries exceeded

  • My wife exceeded the amount of attempts allowed for her SIM card. She cannot log into the support portal from her phone.

    What other options does she have in order to get a PUK code?

they have given me 2 codes. Neither worked. They’ve given me a 3rd - which I have yet to test.

If the third code doesn't work, the only other option I can think of is to get a new SIM card. Then get Public Mobile to reimburse you for it.

https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/pick-up-SIM - Find a local store in your area.

Amazon - Here you can get it cheaper and maybe a few days wait $4.99

Or find a Mobile Klinik near you. https://mobileklinik.ca/stores/

As far as I know, iPhones don't require "PUK" codes. Public Mobile should be offering you a PUK code for your locked SIM. Does the screen look like this?

@LesF

What brand is the phone and What was the exact error?

If it is a Samsung and if the message is "SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK."
      call  Samsung 1-800-726-7864 for a master unlock code.
      The only info you will need to provide is the IMEI and where the phone was purchased

If the message is "SIM network unlock PIN" or "SIM ME lock code NP" or "SIM not Supported" or on an iPhone's About->Carrier Lock showing "SIM locked"
          You have to ask the carrier where you got the phone from for the carrier help unlocking it.
           (Sorry, for this particular issue, PM support would not be able to help)

Public mobile support is telling me that I need to get the PUK code from the phone manufacturer. 😳

Or simply ask her to login the Community and message support directly using this link  https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
