Hi! I have a problem when I put my SIM card into another phone it keeps "searching" when I put SIM card back into my old phone it works perfectly. The phone has been completely reset , I have reset the network settings  and powered down. I don't know what else to do. Thank you

The phone was completely reset when I got it. Just tried wife's koodo SIM. searching/no service. Phone is toast presumably

hi @Keonrandell try the phone with another active sim, preferably with Telus or Koodo

and try Resetting the phone (wiping)

Correct the "new" phone is iPhone 6. My 6s the SIM works perfect. Also tried in my wife's koodo phone and works perfect. Must be an hardware issue. Phone isn't blacklisted. Thank you very much for your time!!

But The old phone that the SIM still works on is an iPhone 6s . SIM  Works perfectly .. only reason I got another phone is iPhone 6s is not charging well. I only talk and text.

Hi @Keonrandell iPhone 6  is the "new" phone that does not work?

But it should work

can you test with another active sim card?

and check if your phone is blacklisted

Sorry its an iPhone 6

Well that's why. iPhone 8 and up are the only phones that will work with Public Mobile. iPhone 6 is no longer compatible with Public Mobile.

Try cleaning the sim tray/slot of your phone.

If you place the SIM card into the phone that does the non stop searching, try these things.

Turn Airplane mode on, then wait a minute and turn it off.

Make sure the SIM card you've placed in the phone in properly (not upside down)

Update the software/firmware of the affected phone

If data roaming is turned on, turn it off.

Go to Network settings and turn off Automatically Select Network and see if Public Mobile shows up on the list. If so, pick it.

Depending on the phone, you may have it set to 5G, try setting the preferred network type to LTE.

Hope one of these help.

EDIT: Forgot to add this. Check to see if the phone has been blacklisted.

@Keonrandell  Maybe the new phone you have is locked to another carrier, is it in contract with another provider by any chance other then Koodo or Telus . Maybe bell or Roger’s ?

no @Handy1 , if the phone is carrier lock, it will show an error message and ask for PUK code, it won't be just keep searching

hi @Keonrandell
