My phone says I don't have a SIM card. But I do have one. Why isn't it working?

@LuAnne - did you activate the SIM card instore or online? Online activation is found here:https://publicmobile.ca/en/on/portal/activation
If you successfully activated by methods above, then you should have also been charged for the plan you chose and the SIM card activation.
Check below if you successfully activated a SIM card or have an activate account:
Is your phone locked? Contact your previous provider to unlock it for you. You will need your imei number, dial *#06# to get it.
Check if your phone is blacklisted here: https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/
If still issues, contact Customer Support (CSA) to check on your SIM card activation.
Two ways to reach them here:

Log in into your self-serving account and check service status. Is it active?
Does your son's SIM work in your phone?
If SIM does not work in 2 phones most likely it is dead. Lets see if somebody has better suggestion but get ready to buy new SIM.

Hi @LuAnne would be nice if you can try your sim on another phone or try another sim on this phone to confirm if it is a device problem.

Hi @LuAnne it was working well yesterday? try to put your SIM in another phone to see if the SIM works there. if you don't have a second phone around, reseat the sim first
