SIM card switch to another phone

Hi Community,

I just got a new phone. I don’t want to get a new number just switch the SIM card from old phone to new one. When I did this and did the transfer of information between phones I haven’t been able to use my Authenticator app for signing into my work email. Has anyone had this issue before and if so can you help me out?

@Yo3 but are your services working okay? Maybe since this is a new number, it just needs a bit of time to be recognized.

Your number and all services are in your SIM. So moving SIM from phone to phone you keep all your services.

Particular app not working on another phone could be phone issue and not PM service.

@Yo3 - this would be a phone setting, should not have anything to do with the SIM swap.

Make sure you run the latest version of Authenticator. Tap Settings and make sure App updates is turned on. Make sure the device requires a PIN or biometric to unlock (lock screen). Try to re-enable faceID or fingerprint in the device settings and restart the device.
