I received a new iphone and am trying to add my public mobile SIM - I'm receiving the error message "The SIM that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy."
When I go to Settings>General>About, the carrier settings say Public Mobile 50.0.1 yet the phone still gives me the SIM not supported message. What do I need to do?

Yep, this SIM has been activated and is working in another phone. Thanks.

@Egillis -
Was this SIM card working in another phone before this?
Was this SIM card activated: https://publicmobile.ca/en/on/portal/activation
OR Sim-swapped?
See "How To Change Your SIM Card" in this Help Article: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/sim-swap

This usually means that your Phone or even a new iPhone is locked to a carrier.
Go to Settings > General > About > Find Carrier Lock and check if it shows No SIM restrictions, then your iPhone is unlocked, if not, your phone was locked
If your phone is locked to another provider, you need to contact the provider where the phone was originally purchased from. This is not something PM support can help if the phone was not from PM
