SIM Network unlock Pin Y6 SCL-L04

My Huawei Y6 SCL-L04 asks for a "SIM Network unlock Pin" when inserted it with my new PM sim. I was on Fido network before without any contract.

Does this mean that my phone needs to be unlocked.

Called Fido Customer care and they provided me wtih the unlock codes.

It looks like the phone is SIM locked.  You should be able to get the unlock code from Fido free of charge.
