S24 ultra set up stuck at SIM transfer

I recently purchased a new S24 Ultra from Samsung (unlocked). I am setting up the phone and it foes not let me get past the 'Transfer SIM' screen. My options are to scan a QR code or transfer from my phone. Neither of which Public Mobile lets you do. My only option is to get to the Play store and download the Public Mobile app on my new phone... which is impossible to get to since zI apparently need a SIM card to finish set up. I spent a good 30 minutes asking for a workaround eith Samsung support and they said the only thing to do is purchase a physical SIM (10$ and had to be mailed during holiday surge times and has to be signed for - no thank you). Or to contact my service provider for help. I would rather not buy some preloaded SIM when this feels like such an easy solution.

why you cannot download the PM app?

you don't need your phone is a brick.  You just need to download the Public Mobile App and login and buy esim.  If you cannot download Public Mobile app, maybe  your app store account not set to Canada?  if it is set to Canada and still unable to download, can you show us the error?

Yeah I messaged them thanks. The phone only kets me setup WiFi and then SIM. It locks me into a menu. 

@OliverH43  Ok so in that case please use the link I sent you in my first reply to get support to help you 

adding @OliverH43  you should be able to download the app over wifi thou I would think but if not let support be your friend and help you

That would work only the phone is a brick without first having a sim. I cant even doenload the PM app to do so. 

@OliverH43  sorry you can’t transfer eSIM instead you log into the PM app with new phone and rebuy eSIM . The system should realize you already have eSIM and credit you back the money at check out , if not message support and they will crest you back the money and you will keep same phone number and plan
