Hello guys.
I'd like to return to PM after I switched to Shaw Mobile for a week which was soooo a dummy idea. I couldn't receive a call though outgoing call was alright.
Anyway, can I just make a new account after inserting a new SIM card before cancelling Shaw mobile to port my numbers? When I ask to moderator I was told to get a temporary numbers and ask moderators to port my numbers from Shaw which I don't understand exactly, because I just followed the steps when I first registered in new account.
Please let me know which is right? TKS.

Walmart will activate and port your number for you. Go to the electronics dept. and ask them.

If you want to port over your number and the phone is unlocked with an active plan you can start the process online here:

I know that some customers do prefer an in-store experience over at-home activation. However, I would say for number porting, there is zero difference in smoothness of a number port. The salesperson is only entering the information that you provide, and this is the exact same procedure that anyone can follow to port a number in while doing it at home. I would even say that during COVID-19, customers should be limiting the time in-store as much as possible.

Follow @ShawnC13 advice. If you have to activate a new sim register a new email for the second month free credit and activate online porting your number in upon activation which will automatically close your account with Shaw. Don't cancel it first.
If shaws service is really free you may want to keep it active for awhile as a back up and take a temporary number with pm until you decide to port your number in via the moderators.
This is an online service model at pm.....suggesting porting in store may suit some but anyone activating in store will not qualify for the current promotion. Activating in store does not improve your porting process. Sales people make errors as well....we can help nervous or inexperienced custom ers thru the activation and porting process.

To me this sounds like your port didn't complete over to Shaw. Have you tried your old PM sim to see if it is still active if it is contact the moderators to see what they suggest. If it isn't yes you will need a new sim and I would port over when activating the sim. Just make sure you have your Shaw phone account number and the number you want to port and all is good.
