Request a specific Number

Hi,

I would like to request a specific number. It was originally activated on Public Mobile many years ago, and ported to different carriers over the years.  It has now been cancelled and is still available. Can I activate that specific number on Public Mobile again? Thank you.

You can always try submitting a new ticket. Another moderator picking up your ticket may acommodate your request.

I agree @computergeek541 but my hands are tied with what they are willing to do for me. Thanks for your responses.

I don't agree with that. Moderators can definitely assign a specific phone number if it's available. As to whether or not it's within the rules that they are suppsoed to follow is a different story.

Hi @dipikabedi thanks for letting us know.  The Public Mobile community is always here ready to help our fellow customers... or in your case, future customer... maybe?  Cheers!  😁

When you do get a number, you can always login and try changing your number form here:

https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/Overview/ChangeNumber/

Also check with the mods

@dipikabedi

Try direct https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

Can you get area code and the first digits? If you can do that then you will be able to pick desired last 4 digits.

Otherwise you will need moderators help

Thank you everyone for the suggestions.  I cannot create a ticket to the moderator because I am not an existing Public Mobile customer.  I have tried Private Messaging a moderator so hopefully that will work.

Unfortunately, you can only request the last 4 digits. You can see if the mods can check the Telus pool and you never know it might work out for you.

To submit a ticket to the Public Moderator Team click here . Enter Submit Ticket and then click on the Contact Us link. To access the Public Moderator Team Assistance form then select the Click me! link.

I am not sure if this is possible. Contact a moderator and they would be able to assist you.

Here’s how to contact the Moderator Team (Public Mobile representative) for assistance:

  • Get help with your account the easy way by starting a conversation with our virtual assistant, SIMon. It’ll take you to relevant help articles, or if it’s something more urgent, it can help you submit a ticket to the Moderator Team. Click here to get started.

  • Alternatively, you can send a private message to the Moderators by clicking here. You’ll need to be logged in to your Community account for the link to work.
