@NatKirton what exact error?
You were trying to use the credit card on file to pay? Try NOT to pick the option "Amount Due". Use the "Other..." option and enter the plan amount and submit it that way. It should work with this trick

You may wish to try clearing cache and cookies and opening an incognito tab and logging into self-serve again.
You can also purchase a payment voucher at many locations and apply to self serve or by dialing *611
EDIT: You may also use an online payment site like recharge.com
