This will apply to some 4G phones as well then as the s10+ is such. Thanks community for all the insights. Will try the A71 as well and see if it works because it is on hand and the user relies on simpler tech.

@TeacherRenoGuy A71 and S10+ do NOT compatible with PM system, although they both have VoLTE

@samedi989 you mentioned  "an older phone Samsung A17".  A17 is not old, it was released only in August 2025.  In fact, it is so new that the IMEI tracker seems not recognizing the IMEI and not returning the correct result.   A17 in fact is compatible with PM's VoLTE system

@TeacherRenoGuy the issue with no voice calls is lack of VoLTE support.  Use the IMEI checker to confirm
