Re: Emergency calls only/Service not provisioned

Hello Shazia,

I'm new to Public Mobile and I'm having the same problem. When I plug my sim into my wife's phone, I don't get any signal there either. Grateful for any advice you can provide.

Best,

R

@skownk Based on the information here, http://www.gsmchoice.com/en/catalogue/huawei/u6150/Huawei-U6150.html, that phone is not compatible with Pubilc Mobile's networks, https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Knowledge-Base/Getting-Started/ta-p/162.

In Canada that phone will operate only on the Rogers 2G network.

You will need to acquire a compatible unlocked phone.

Thank you very much for the quick reply.

My phone is a Huawei U6150.

I see 'Active' when I login.

My plan is 'Self'.

Best,

Just stating the obvious, is your wife's phone unlocked or bought from Telus? If the phone is bought from another carrier (ie: Rogers) it could be locked to their network thus not working with your Public Mobile sim.

@skownk You have posted to an old thread. In future you will have more assurance of help by creating your own topic on the forum  (which I have done for you today), or sending a private message directly to the moderators.

a) What make/model is your phone?

b) Do you see "Active" when you login to your self serve account?

c) What plan did you purchase?
