I am returning to Public Mobile but is not recognizing my phone number as Canada number so I can maintain same number. What do I do?

Thanks a lot for your support. I followed your guide and everything worked perfectly fine. Am fully back to PM now.

Thanks,

@Kriz

1.  Use the ChatBot(SIMon) link at the bottom of this page to create a support ticket.

2.  Ask SIMon "Transferring my number to Public Mobile".

3.  Then, select "Koodo Prepaid or PC Mobile".

4.  Select "Yes, I have activated".

5.  Select "Contact Us" and follows instruction to create support ticket.

Update:

6.  Check your SENT box for the ticket you just created on your private message system.  Access by clicking on the envelop icon on the top right of this page.  If you did not find your ticket, you had not created your ticket yet.

7.  Monitor your INBOX.  CSA will contact you using the private messaging system.

Please how do I contact a Public Mobile CSA? I have activated the account using a PM number and now wants to port my regular number. Any idea will be appreciated please.

Thanks,

1. Open PM account.

2. Pick ANY number.

3. When service is confirmed and everything works as expected (calls, SMS, Internet) ONLY then request porting of your number.

3.1. As advised before, if it is Koodo then agent can help you out bringing old number to PM.

4. One step at the time. No need to rush.

Which CSA creates the ticket? Koodo CSA?

Whenver porting to Public Mobile, it would be the Public Mobile CSA who you would need to be contacting.

If you are on a Koodo prepaid plan, you need to get a PM number first to create your new Pm account.  After activation, create a support ticket fo ask CSA to port your Koodo number to PM.

Reason: Porting number from Koodo prepaid is done manually because PM an Koodo prepaid are suing the same server.  Therefore, the automatic porting cannot be used to porting a number within the same server/provider.

Welcome back to PM family.

1.  Get a new PM SIM card

2.  Activate a new plan/account and port your Koodo number to PM.  Make sure your Koodo account is active before porting.  After Koodo releases your number to PM, your Koodo account will be cancelled.

@Kriz

Are you still using your old number with another provider?

If yes, you need to port your number to PM before you can use your old number.

If no, if you cancel your old PM number, your number will be returned to the provider who provides your old number.

If PM gave you your old number, you may get it back if it was less than 3 months after your cancellation.  Otherwise, your old number may be reassigned to another user.

Call You old number.  If someone answer, your number was reassigned to a new user..
