I am unable to send SMS texts. I can receive but cannot respond or send a new one.
This has been going on since I switched to Public Mobile about 7 days ago.
The porting department says everything is working and I have been on hold with them for 1 hour, 7 minutes and counting.
My Apple ID also will not send an email using my number. When I try to select it, the “processing” wheel continually spins. iMessage will send something using my Apple ID. I know these two issues are related somehow.
Can someone help? It’s now 1 hour and 10 minutes on hold so I’m sure I’ll be disconnected soon.

try the same again. It is known that the re-register process could take time on the Apple side
or remove the phone number, reboot , but wait 2 hours or so before you put the number back to re-register

this is probably a problem with iMessage instead of Public Mobile's
you might have to re-register your phone number.
Just go to the Settings, remove the phone number, reboot the phone. After the phone is up again, go back to the settings and enter the phone number to re-register.
