My previous phone was destroyed. I don't have access to any of my accounts without my previous number. I have the SIM card from the previous phone. I currently have a new phone. I'm wondering if it's possible to keep my old number. I need to be able to have that number. So I can use it for authentication to be able to sign into my Gmail email my Rogers account ETC. Does Public mobile have a number I can call to solve this issue?

hi @TheCaptain2025 if you don't want. to waste money, find a friend to help to test the sim
if you just want to go and get a new PM simz get a Public Mobile sim card from Telus or Koodo or Mobile Klink store for $10 or Amazon for $5
after you got the sim card, update the new sim card number bu logging into My Account, go to Profile page and update there

Your SIM card could be damaged if your phone was "destroyed". You never know.
To get a new SIM card the fastest routes are these.
https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/pick-up-SIM - Find a local store in your area.
Amazon - Here you can get it cheaper and maybe a few days wait $4.99
Or find a Mobile Klinik near you. https://mobileklinik.ca/stores/

@TheCaptain2025 don't get a new phone number, you don't need to
Can you test the sim card on another phone?
At max, you just need a new sim card and you can keep the same phone number on the same account

I tried that method at least three times. It's still not working. If I get a new SIM card with a new number would it be possible to contact the companies that I had the previous number with. And possibly reset my accounts. And use the new number?

To reset network settings on a Moto G, go to Settings -> System -> Reset options and then tap Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth

How do I reset my network settings? I'm using the Moto G play 2024. I don't have an option to do that. But I can restart the phone.

Hello @TheCaptain2025
With the new phone you have, just insert the SIM card into the phone and reboot. If you don't find you have signal, just go into your Network Settings and reset them and then reboot your phone. This will force your phone to find the Public Mobile network. You will of course keep your original phone number.

That's the problem I forgot to mention the phone doesn't seem to recognize the SIM card.

Public Mobile doesn't have a customer service phone number. You can insert your SIM card into your new phone to continue using the service.
