Pre-authorized credit card isn't showing up as pre-authorized by bank.

According to my bank, PM had not correctly registered my credit cards payments over the past 9 months as pre-authorized (I receive 3% cash back rewards on my preauthorized transactions).

Yet, it has been automatic. What gives? Is someone not telling the truth here?

Google says PM uses AutoPay which is different.

So I logged-in and re-registered my card as pre-authorized.

Will that do the trick?

Public Mobile is a prepaid service and customers are allowed to subscribe and unsubscribe at will.  As such, the credit card issuers don't treat such arrangement as pre-authorized payment.

Yea, they don't consider it as pre authorized so you won't get the full cash back per your credit card pre authorized cash back rate.

We've all asked the same questions. Not fair for sure.

None of the payments to Public Mobile are considered pre-authorized.  Sorry, but there won't be any increased cashback.
