Good day all,
Just wondering. I switched (so I believe on Thursday. lol). With the Public Mobile SIM I can make outgoing calls. But I only receive messages from iphone people not any android peeps. (Just realized this may be when wifi is on). I also never received the text to say porting was successful. I called Rogers, and my account is still active with them. Yet my number, and everything shows up in my Public Mobile profile. I am able to make outgoing calls to Landlines, but don't receive any calls. Holy Limbo! lol

Eh...
I tossed them my IMEI number, as well as my Rogers Acct. #, and I think I even gave them the pin too.
Sure there was likely just a hiccup, and now I am in the "little" back log of issues.

Quick Question, How much information did you provide for the Port? As in, did you fill in as many of the fields as you could?
From past experience when I worked for Bell, the more information a customer could provide me for the port, generally the port took less time. (This was not the case all the time however, just most of the time.)

Right now because of this promotion the moderators are having a hard time keeping up and they are backloged atleast 2-3 days. I understand your frustration, I would be frustrated as well but if you think that there are probably 500-1000 people porting their number everyday and if even 10 percent of those people have issues then thats 50-100 people per day. I would say a big portion of the backlog is due to people who message the moderators with issues that they can solve themselves. (not you you definitely need their help).

And then still keep waiting. Been over 48 hours since I first PM'ed a mod and still haven't got a response.
Patience is one thing, but this is getting to be rediculous.

No need to message the mods yet. The wait atleast 5 hours and then if you dont recive the porting complete text message then private message the moderator with your number, your old account number, your sim card number, and your email address associated with your account

Thanks! Added one of the mods to the message. I did send an email last night, when I first thought something was fishy. I totally understand they must be swamped. Cheers!

Hey,
I just signed up this morning, my port took all of 20 minutes (That is until I recieved the confirmation text message).
I do remember reading on the site somewhere that it takes on average 30-60 minutes. If after you recieve the confirmation text, you may have toreboot yor phone for it to take full effect.
EDIT: Try a reboot, otherwise you may need to PM a mod.

@surf99992001 definitely in limbo! I'm wondering if the port is stuck? You should probably have one of the moderators have a look (Shazia_K, Mary_M or Saray_O). I know they're swamped right now, but sending a private message to one of them to get in the message cue would be a good idea.
