Hi all,
newbee here
Does porting-in also work on weekends?
Is this an automated process or will it need a human’s approval on the side where the number is coming from?

@amppm porting is 24/7 if you aren't coming from Koodo prepaid or PC mobile( to port from these 2 providers, you have to activate with a temporary cell phone number and contact the moderators and ask them to port your number for you.), you can port at activation. Depending on whom you are porting from now, there are text messages sent requiring an answer to allow the port. Contact your current provider and ask them about it. Welcome to PM. Stay safe.
Here's 4 articles on activation and porting and the Refer a friend reward if you need them:
1. What you require to activate https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/what-you-need-to-activate
2.How to activate https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/activation-account-set-up
3.How to port https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/choose-your-phone-number
4. Refer a friend https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/the-refer-a-friend-reward

@amppm Porting can be done anytime/anyday as long as you do it at the activation stage (except Koodo/PC prepaid which always require moderators to port), otherwise you will need to submit a ticket to moderators via ? mark bottom right of your screen if not done at time of activation.
