Porting a number out of PM to another provider

Hi,

If I port my number out of PM to another provider, do I still need to cancel my subscription or subscription automatically stops once my number is ported out?

Thanks

you would lose any promo's you're currently enjoying if you changed plans right away. Keep an eye on the plan menu as it's always evolving. If you find something better than your current plan, that you can have, make sure to select Change on Renewal rather than Change Now to avoid forfeiting whatever balance is left in current plan.

I checked Freedom Mobile reviews (I was looking at the 35 CAN/US/MEX + roam beyond) and it was not very encouraging, so I think I will stick with PM even though I cannot get the boxing day deal (currently has 36 CAN/US 50GB) and the new deals don't show up when I try to change subscription. Oh well, next boxing day for me probably...I don't want to loose my 3months 50% off for now...

watch your credit card statement closely for the next 2 months as it's not unheard of that you could still get charged even though your account is deactivated. If that happens, message customer support for full refund and to remove any residual credit card info.

@MC_J  .no you need to keep public account active with PM sim in phone to reply YES to the confirmation text to port number . Once you have successfully ported the number it will automatically close your PM account and that’s it nothing more for you to do
