I activated my phone number on November 1 and ported my old number from my old Bell account. Since activating, I'm not able to receive or send texts.
It looks like my number is only partly ported over. I can make send/receive calls and they all show up under my phone number that was ported, but SMS texts aren't working for whatever reason.
I found out that all of my texts were going to my old Bell SIM. I understood that your old SIM would automatically de-activate once you port over, but that wasn't the case. So I called into Bell and had them cancel and de-activate my SIM outright, thinking it would fix it, but now I just dont get any texts at all.
Need some help ASAP on this. Not sure if it matters but my Bell account was under my mom's name, but my new Public Mobile account is under my name.
REALLY wish Public Mobile had a customer service number to call in, because this is really frustrating.

I'm having similar issues and it looks like it took about a week for PM to fix your issue...that's not really reassuring to me that I'll have my issue resolved any time soon. Thanks for providing an update, helpful for any others to know what the probable turnaround time on these requests is.

Yeah it sounds like the porting hasn't been fully completed and some of the features are on your new PM and some on your old provider still. Have you received the message Public Mobile here. If you haven't got that message your port hasn't been completed. Have you contacted a MOD here? IT is Sunday and they are very busy so not sure how fast htey can get back to you
