Port to Fizz

Has anyone had any luck requesting PM to manually accept the authorization text to port a number over to another provider? I’m already out of country but started the transfer to Fizz, however I can’t receive any texts from PM and can’t authorize this. Do I have any other options?

Porting out of Public Mobile while you are outside of Canada is tricky because Public Mobile requires you to reply "YES" to a confirmation SMS sent to your Canadian SIM card within 90 minutes.

Since Public Mobile generally does not offer roaming outside of Canada and the US, your phone likely won't receive this text if you are overseas. You can attempt to contact a Public Mobile Customer Support Agent (CSA) via the Community Forum to see if they will manually authorize the port.

Explain that you are abroad and cannot receive the SMS verification. They may ask for security details (PIN, account number) to verify your identity. This is not a guaranteed fix, as the SMS is a fraud-prevention requirement, but agents have occasionally bypassed it for verified users.

Reach out to the Public Mobile support team to assist you.

If you are able to log into your account, use SIMon the chatbot. 

If you're unable to log into My Account for any reason, ask the Public Mobile support team to help.

sorry, the text approval is mandatory. 

if you are out of country, only option is to ask a friend to help on Canada. Buy a sim card and change to it and your friend need to reply the text on behalf

Since PM is available only in Canada, USA and Mexico if you have this plan. Unfortunately you need to be in Canada to get the confirmation text from PM.
