Hello, everyone
I just ported my number to public, however i have few questions
1. I did my port through public my account self-service. and it said transfer completed and also I noticed my phone number is changed. but looks like my virgin phone still working, should I call the virgin service number to let them cancell my virgin account?
2. if I use my virgin phone to sent message to my own number i will recive it on my virgin phone. same thing if I use my public phone to sent message to my own number I will revice it on my public phone. so right now I can use to different phone device but having same phone number!
3. I let my friend sent me a message, I only recived by my old virgin phone.
All I want is to recive the message on my new device. what should I do? just wait? or cal virgin to cancel my service?

Hi @sh2323,
Welcome to Public Mobile.
Since you've ported your phone number from Virgin Mobile, it will take anytime between 30 minutes up to 2-3 hours for your old phone number to be moved to Public Mobile. Once the porting process is completed, your Public Mobile account will receive all your messages sent to your current Virgin Mobile number, so until then, it is normal that your Virgin Mobile still works.
1. Your Virgin Mobile account will be cancelled automatically once the porting process is completed.
2. This is normal, until the porting process is completed.
3. Normal.
For now, all you need to do is wait for your porting to be completed 🙂
