Hi,
I went to the public mobile kiosk and got a new sim on the 15$/monthly plan with auto-pay and a phone number they said they must associate. I would like to port-in my existing number instead of the new number given to me.
Thank you,
Thee Ittech
Thank you all for your help it worked 👍🏼

Almost any number can be ported. Telus/Koodo are not 'special'. The only condition for porting both accounts have to be active.

Use the "Change Number" option showing on your self serve login page under your "My Profile" section.
Once there, you'll be given the option to Transfer a wireless or wireline number from another provider.
Keep in mind, the other providers service must still be active for you to do this.

Did you tell them you wanted to port over a number? The kiosks always seem to be shady stuff and not include porting or referral codes of friends/family because they want their own commissions etc.

If your previous carrier is Telus or Koodo, there is a good chance that your old number can be ported over to PM and you will need to contact a CS_Agent to help you port over from Telus or Koodo.
If it is a different carrier, as long as your account is still Active and not closed, you will need the old SIM to port over your old number so you can reply to the text with YES with the old SIM in your phone.
If you already closed your account and don't have your old SIM. Unfortunately you can't port your old number over.

@theeittech first thing, register for a self serve account here (if you have not yet):https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/self-registration/
Then once logged in go to the Change Sim Card feature under the My Profile section.
See more info. here for guidance on porting in through self serve: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/port-fraud-protection
If issues doing this yourself, ask CSA for assistance, submit a ticket to CSA for assistance.
To contact the Public Mobile Customer Support Agent (CSA)_Team, there are two methods to reach them found here:
