I purchased a ZTE 2222 Flip phone for Évelyne friend of mine as that’s the only type of phone if you can make calls on. When I install the Sim card did asks for a 16 digit unlock code. Where can I get this code? Can anyone help please

Ouch, you bought a locked phone!

Contact the seller and find out which carrier locked the phone or go to a cell repair shop to have it unlocked for a fee.

That sounds like that phone is locked to a previous provider. But...what? There are gazillions of phones out there that "you can make calls on".
