As plan evolves (changes) your plan will not automatically change. You will stay with your plan until YOU change it.
So $25 plan has changed over the years. Now it is Canada wide. You you like that, it is easy to change; schedule change on next renewal and enjoy Canada wide.
But consider what your plan has vs. what current $25 plan offers.

How many MB's does your current plan have? @Penny1953

You might have joined Public Mobile during a short-lived period over a year ago when they introduced "Province-wide" plans. At the time, the price point of these plans were the same as the re-introduced Canada wide plans.
You'll know what your plan is by looking under your Plan Details in your self-serve page.
I would recommend performing a plan change on your next renewal, here's how:
First, login to Self Serve to this screen below, then, click Change Plan:
Then select desired Plan:
Then choose Change on Next Renewal Date:

HI@Penny1953 , they look similar but in the system, they are different plan. All providers do similar thing, you have to change plan yourself.
Login to My Account, click Change Plan and pick the current $25 plan. I suggest you to choose Change in the next renewal date instead of Change Now. to complete the change request. Don't click Change now or PM will charge you now and start the new cycle. All those left over date on your current cycle will be wasted

You definitely have to weigh what is more important bc it sounds to me that is definitely the 4G data as I had to make that decision a few years ago the first time I was with PM

It's called grandfathering. They might raise the rate, but they won't change the plan. It's up to you to notice that plans have changed and to decide if you want it.
Do you also have data? In your plans & add-ons does it say 3G for data?

IF you have data on that plan it might be at full speed LTE where the new one will be at 3G speed. So depending on how much long distance you do vs what you use your data for might be something to think about. I am still on a Proovincial calling plan

The $25 plan that includes Canada-wide calling is a different plan. You can switch to by performing a plan change from within your Self Serve account. Make sure that you select the option to only have the change happen during your next renewal.
