APN settings have nothing to do with your ability to make a call, those will only affect MMS and data.

Click this link: @CS_Agent, send them a private message as outlined above.

Have you applied the correct APN settings to your phone?

Also how long has it been since you registered your sim card?

Put @CS_Agent in your posts to tag the mods and someone from their crew will undoubtedly help you out.

Sometimes this will happen for me as well.

When making what should be a long distance call in any other method (having to dial 1+ the number) it's recognized as you making an LD call, but if your plan is province-wide you can ignore that message. It's the carrier's way of putting you on notice that if you don't have a plan that covers LD (or in your case renders this as a local-type call) that you'd be responsible for the charges.

@Rc85

Just to confirm you're in your home province when trying to make this call?  Have you rebooted your phone since selecting this new plan?

If both these checked out, it sounds like you hit a bit of a snag with the self-serve portal. You'll need the help of a moderator to get your account sorted out.

Send a private message to @Moderator_Team, include your following info:
- account number
- phone number
- a brief description of what has happened

…and they will be able to look into it for you.
