Plan help

I have a current plan that I would like to keep using but for a new phone. Does anyone know how to keep an existing plan and use it with a different phone? I want to upgrade the phone that is on that plan now to a higher data level plan.

After you transfer your sim and plan to your friend, they can always change the telephone number to a different one on the same account/plan.

When you apply for a new plan with more data for yourself, you will need to get a new number. Unfortunately, you cannot recycle the number that you transferred to your friend. 

Note: if you use a referral code from your $15 plan, you will get a $10 credit and you will give your friend a monthly referral point which is the equivalent of $1.

Yup...he'll have your current number.

the phone number (and account) is tied with the sim card

so, you need a new account but use the old 250 plan from the old account? sorry, this is like swapping plans between 2 accounts, can't be done

easy to do. Just put that sim in whichever cell he's going to be using and it should be ok. If it's a family member, make sure he knows he must make $15 + tax payment every 30 days. (If there's Reward Points on that account, it can be redeemed and used for renewal also)

The plan I have now is only 250mb which is perfect for a new phone user.. they don’t offer this plan any more.. which is why I wanted to figure out how to still use it

I'm a bit confused about your request...BUT...you can't have 2 users on the same account. Each user must have his/her own sim, their own account and a separate email address. For upgrading a plan is easy...just log in to that account and find the plan you want and select Change Now OR Change on Renewal.

What I mean is the current plan I have my son is using. I want to move him into an upgraded plan, and then use my current plan for my younger son.

Assuming you are using physical sim, you can just move the sim card to the new phone

and you said you want to upgrade the plan too?  upgrade the plan on the existing account? just login My Account, Change Subscription and choose the new plan you want.  Use Change on Renewal

yes, you can keep the same plan and same number on the new phone

if you have a physical sim card, just move it from old to new phone.

if eSIM, you need to download the PM app on the new phone, login and go to Account page and Purchase sim card and choose esim
