Phone number

I had to use a temporary number to switch over my landline. Now when I text, the temporary number still comes up on others call display. I have switched to the number I brought with me, but temp number still shows. How do I change that?

I wonder if it may be a cache issue on the other person's phone. If the other person replies to your text, does the reply go to your new number or get lost going to your old number. Perhaps the other person needs to reboot their phone or update their contact list to make sure that you are associated with your new number, and not your old number.

Porting land line number can take up to 7 days (or longer). If people see your temp number then porting is not completed.
