I am a new public mobile customer.  My present phone number is USA.  Will public mobile provide a new phone number when I download my e sim?

Yes, you will get brand new Canadian number when you sign up with PM. You CANNOT transfer your USA number.
You can chose any area code and pick any available number.

@Gibbles , Public Mobile will issue you a new Canadian number is you activate an account.  If you had an eligible Canadian number, you could transfer it into this service.  US numbers are not eligible for transfer in.
