While most phone numbers can be transferred between carriers, not all numbers can be moved everywhere.
Number portability is limited by the “rate centre,” which is the geographic location tied to the phone number. Whether a number can be transferred depends on whether Telus operates in that specific rate centre.
And unfortunately, Your number cannot be transferred into Public Mobile or Telus family
70t-914-xxxx is a Wawa, ON number. Only Bell, Distributel, Rogers and ExaTEL have a rate centre there and Telus does not. Basically what it means is that Telus has no operation in this city and therefore the number cannot be moved into Public Mobile. Becaue of the technical limitation, your number can only be transferred between Bell, Distributel, Rogers and ExaTEL (including their flanker brands like Lucky, Fido etc)
This means you would need to either choose a new number or remain with Bell, Distributel, Rogers and ExaTEL

Look like 706 is the 3 digits after the area code, can you also provide us the area code so we can confirm?
