Phone making calls + Asking to verify number

Hello.

1) My phone ‐ Samsung ‐ is making phone calls on its own.

2) Ot is also asking me to enter my number to verify that it is really me, yet as soon as I try to enter the number, the screen disappears.

Help please!

Umm, could your phone be hacked, I hope not. Hopefully, just a finicky thing going on.

Try one or more of the below:

*turn off your phone, leave off for a few minutes, then reboot

*removing your SIM, then reinserting it

*go into airplane mode, then going back to regular mode

*perform a reset network settings on your device

*if you try your SIM card it another compatible phone is the behaviour the same?

The former is probably just how incoming calling forwarded to voicemail appears in your usage history. Does the phone number your phone appears to be calling end in "4001"? The latter I am not so sure why your phone is asking this?
