Phone Number Compromised and Unable to Use new SIM

wphsiao

Hello,

My home work was compromised which led to all of my accounts credentials leaked as a result my current phone attached to my Public Mobile phone does not work.

I'm wondering what are the necessary recovery process for me to regain control over my number.

Thanks!

Is your PM account SIM swapped?

If so, if you have access to your email, you should be able to get 2FA email code.  Once inside your account, report your phone lost/stolen.  Then you can purchase a new SIM card and replace the number aftewards.

you could get a new sim (or esim) to start a whole new Public Mobile account but you need a different email address. I'd suggest not getting the old number back but instead take a new one if that old number was corrupted by someone.

added...also message Customer Support to deactivate old account and delete all personal info including payment card.     https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
