Hello everyone, I recently switched from my previous carrier to PM because of the great price for the plan I chose, 5G which has made a significant difference (for the better) in terms of internet speed, and because I now have 3 times the data I previously had. One thing, however, that gets me scratching my head is that there is no simple way to change the number of rings before calls go to voicemail. I tried every possible method suggested in other topics, a CSA also spent quite a bit of time trying to help me with various solutions and codes, but nothing has worked. The only thing I miss was how easy it was to change number of rings with my previous carrier.
I wish PM would offer a similar method. It would be so nice and convenient to be able to go into voicemail settings and have an option, like "Choose 5" or similar to change the number of rings instead of having to dial a code which, at least for me and many other users, hasn't worked. I don't know about Apple users, but I've noticed that many Android users are having the same problem. I was able to contact Samsung and they confirmed that this has to do with mobile carriers.
Thus, I though I would start a sort of petition in the hope that PM will finally offer an easy way/option to change the number of rings via Voicemail settings. If we all "sign" this petition, maybe PM will seriously take my proposal into consideration.
Thank you

Where is the petition???? I am a new Public Mobile User and also a Samsung owner and yesterday I noticed someone gave up before leaving a voice mail because it rang so many times. I tried to follow the directions from 5 years ago, but it does not work. HELP!

This is unrelated to which phone brand company (Samsung, Apple, etc.) the customer is using. The number of rings is set at the network and account level, though in the past, customers at wireless carriers have been able to change the numbers of rings by the dialing the types of codes that you've likely already tried.

hi @Asturias7
if. Telus checked and cannot help, then it is not something you can get, I guess. Right before Voicemail is a nice feature but not a required feature I guess. If they cannot do it, a petition won't help either

As already mentioned in my original post, I already discussed all of this with a CSA. I also mentioned in a subsequent post that I also got a call from a Telus tech support agent. Again, there is nothing anyone can do... but, they did agree that there should be a simple way to change the # of rings and that they would be pass my suggestion on to the higher-ups.

hi @Asturias7 petition like this won't help . Remember, your plan does not stay that number of rings before voicemail is customizable.
useful way is to work with support or ask them to escalate to proper technical support
please submit a ticket with CS Agent using this Chatbot link: https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html Type the question "Submit ticket", Then click the following in order: "Contact Us" , "Other", "Log In".

So I got a call from Telus tech support and the agent confirmed that many Samsung users are having the same problem. No matter what code they input, the number of rings stay the same. Hopefully there will be a simple option in the near future that allows us to modify the number of rings before calls go to our voicemail.

I have, but nothing has worked for me. The CSA tried his best and referred my case to the technical support team who will, supposedly, reach out to me in the coming days. I have no idea how they will solve my problem...
