Have never used the data on my phone ( old type Nokia Fold Flip ). Tried a few times for plain old web access but can’t get past the ‘subscribe to packet data first’. Any suggestions? Sorry if this has been asked before/any helpful PM threads?

@RosieR We know thge phone works on PM for calls >> data will also work if APN can be configured.
FYI: Network Frequencies at PM
4G LTE/LTE Advanced: 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz; 2100 MHz downlink with 1700 MHz uplink (AWS). PM throttles speed on these to 3 mbps.
HSPA (3G): 850 MHz, 1900 MHz (UMTS). N.B. Must have these for calls to work. Texting and data also work on the 3G frequencies.

hi @Kez ok here goes...
- Nokia 3710 Fold - 3G - GSM - cellular phone. No, this doesn't work with Public Mobile. GSM usually means 2G service; Public Mobile is only 3G and LTE. The bands in use are the same as Telus as listed here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telus_Mobility. If it's in the list, this website has been accurate: https://willmyphonework.net.
- Flip LG-C441 F4NR - Compatibility ? It should work since it has 3G 850/1900 which is what Public Mobile uses. Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands: 4G LTE and LTE Advanced: 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz and 2100 MHz downlink and 1700 MHz uplink (AWS).
I hope this helps. Best wishes

It's been a long time since I've used a flip phone, but can you elaborate on what settings are available for your phone to access data? Modern phones will configure APN, which is required for cellular internet connectivity.

@Kez hi what is the exact model of your phone? alot of the old flip phones won't work for data
