Open a new account with PM over a week, Phone can not received any calls. AGAIN!!!

Guess what, after a numrous effort and canceled the tranfering the old number,  the phone was final callable, but it cutoff agian today. Same problem.

 

It is so frustrated! I made my third trips to the Wlamart storeon July12. The reps called Public Carlos of Moderator_team, we stopped transfering the numbers and reinstalled Public number and made phone callable. Not a 100% satisfaction, but at least phoneline is working. My grandma at least has a phone to call me when she needs help. I could call her and track her where she is. Today, I tried to reach her, the phone has same problem again. "UT one, the number you have reached is not in service"  that is message I got again when I call the Public number.

Does all bad things in Public Mobile come to me and my garndma?

Cut the loses  and start another account with a new number? I think about it.  PM sold me two sim cards and I bought $10 plan and $8 Add-ons.  All right it is not  a great deal, I can take  it and don't let my grandma know. But how Does Public Mobile practice business like this. Just like you went to a store, find a good , then paid for it. But they just hold your good and wont' talk to you anymore. MOD 48 hours reply the PM is just a joke. I got last MOD_team reply was Sunday, then, they just vanished.

@auca Actually I can concur, I cannot "Start Article" in this thread either. But perhapas "Ask a Question" again? That seems to work for me.

 

Oh you can't complain to CRTC.. you have to complain to CCTS.

 

If your family is blaming you, I would suggest just cut your losses and start another account with a new number. At least your grandma has a phone to use.

Thanks for your reply. Although your suggestions didn't solve my problem it has deep thoughts. My problem is still not solved and the old number had been ported over and I can make outgoing calls, but I can not receive inbounding calls. Sound like phone problem or phone setting itself? Nope. I swapped the sim with other two phones, same problem. Make it worse, MOD team won't reply my PM since Sunday. Also I could not start Article in community anymore. Whenever I tried to start Article to get helps from community, it shows Page not found:" The page you are trying to access was not found. Please check your URL for typos and try again". For 2 weeks, my grandma couldn't use her phone.Every family member is blaming me for grand ma"s useless phone. I think I have to file complains with CRTC because I have no other way to communicate with PM.

Thanks for your reply. The airtime is not a problem. The phone with Public SIM has not given to my grandma. I checked self-service account , no usage yet. Also I purchased $8 addon for her. The problem is porting unsuccessfully, then I contact MOD to cancelled porting. Then the phone started functioning well. However another MOD started porting again on Saturday. Then, phone number not in services. PM a few times to MOD team . Until now, no answers. So the phone is still not in service.

Thanks for your concerns. It is not plan airtime problem. $10plan  and $8 add-on clearly in self-service account.

The OP had said they tried to call the number and it came back saying not in service. If out of minutes or off or dead battery or whatever it should drop straight to voicemail.

*Maybe* the voicemail access number isn't configured properly but doubtful. But that might be something the OP could check on the phone itself.

But out of service is still troublesome.

@auca, services don't generally, randomly stop like this.

 

The $10 plan has limited outgoing and incoming minutes.  It sounds like you need to add extra minutes, whether it be the $5, $8 or $15 addon(s).  All partial minutes are rounded to the next full minute, so actual 50 minutes *may* seem like on 30 (or less).

 

Are you sure the plan isn't out of available calling minutes?

Completely out of content, you don't understand my problem.

By looking at your previous posts, it looks like your grandmohter has the $10 plan with $8 US/Cdn long distance package.  Do you have access to your self service account?  Check the add on areas on the overview page.  You should see the talk add ons.  If you are unable to see the add ons, it is likely that your grandmother used up her minutes already.  

 

If the plan ran out of minutes, you can buy the $5 for 500 Canada minutes add on to get her service going.
