OnePlus 7 Pro MMS help

My OnePlus 7 Pro is my favourite phone ever and still works great. I know they stopped providing updates for the operating system last year, and recently I stopped being able to send or receive MMS messages. I checked the access point info and just incase created a custom access point with the info I could find for Public mobile, is this correct? I also have set to update my plan as my current plan is old and perhaps that is the issue?

Holy Crap! this actually worked on my Oneplus 7T...I've been scouring the internet for answers and I can't believe the fix was some so simple...I'm so relieved and annoyed at the same time. THANKS!

One thing CS told me to try was to use all CAPs for the APN.

Looks like a different proxy and port from what you had before.

OK this was the key. I deleted all the APN settings, the default and custom. Created a new one, with the suggested changes, including the one from that OnePlus community post. Rebooted and....no change. So I deleted the new custom access point and then, hit the thee dot drop down menu, and it gave me the option "delete all custom access points" so I hit it. It then spit out a new set of default Public mobile APNs and I immediately received all the test texts I had been sending myself from my daughter's phone. Here are the updated settings in case anyone ever needs the info in the future:

@MrFourfingers , make sure the new APN is selected as the active APN.  I just did a google search and it seems like Oneplus phones don't play nice on Telus service and it appears to be an APN conflict issue.

MMS absolutely does consume mobile data.  However, it is routed through a special proxy where the usage is not metered against the plan data allotment.  That is why mobile data needs to be turned on for MMS to work.

I still think it is a device issue and not the service

try your sim card in another device and see if MMS works

if fails on another device, too, please open ticket with PM support and have them to check on the system

and you ahve Mobile data turned on?  for MMS, it does not really use your mobile data but you still need to turn on data

first, maybe the browser.  Please try delete app cache for your messaging app. 

If still fails, and If you are not using Google Message yet, please download Google Message , set it as default and try

Last, update the APN as follow, yours are pretty much same, but try mine, mine works
